Poltava receives modern specialised fire fighting vehicle
Emergency services in Poltava received a modern specialised air-foam extinguishing vehicle financed by the German government. According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, this is only the second vehicle of its type donated by international partners in all of Ukraine.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine stated that this vehicle will be a significant boost for effective fire response, especially at industrial, oil, and gas facilities.
Bedburg supports twin city Mykolaiv
As part of a project of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), which is funded by the German government, Bedburg has provided its twin city Mykolaiv with a powerful generator, a minibus with an integrated mechanical wheelchair ramp, as well as a double-cab truck with a trailer, a scissor lift and tools.
The donations have a total value of around €160,000 and have been made public by the city of Bedburg on its own website.
Germany co-finances modernisation of the Bukovinian State Medical University
The German government is co-financing the modernisation of the heating system in the dormitory of the Bukovinian State Medical University in Chernivtsi with a grant through the state-owned development bank KfW to improve the living conditions for 200 internally displaced people. This was announced by the Head of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration on Facebook.
